How easy it is to forget the beauty of oneself. How easy it is to check social media or see a beautiful woman/man walking down the street and automatically, without even realizing it, you talk down to yourself. Thinking, “why don’t I look like that”or “I wish my ___ looked like his/hers.” How sad it is that we don’t see the beauty in ourselves. But more than that, how unfortunate that we find even an ounce of our self worth in our looks. Beautiful people listen to me, YOU are gorgeous INSIDE AND OUT no matter who you are. I mean if Jesus said it then who can deny it?
You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you. Song of Soloman 4:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. Isaiah 62:3
We are made in the image of God. We are flawless. We are known for our heart. We are a crown of beauty. Don’t let the way of the world make you think anything otherwise. Own it, know who you are and don’t hide away. As many times as you have heard, “there is only one you,” live it out! Embrace the beautiful creature the Lord has personally made you.
