Hope

In a world when things go wrong every day, it can be hard to see the good in it all.  It might be as small as missing an appointment, to as big as getting bad news. How can we focus on all the positive things when little things get in the way..or when big things break you down?

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2

But how? How can we feel joy and see the light when we feel surrounded by dark on all sides?

Well my friends, there are times when life throws things your way that you aren’t ready for.  Sometimes things get thrown your way that are just too hard to bear and as much as life tells us to lose hope and to crawl away in our hole, the truth is that this is the time you need to be filled with that hope and to reach out to others.

If we lose hope, we lose it all.  Believe that it will be okay, that something good will come out of the trials you are going through.  That you will find peace and healing. That when it’s all over you will be stronger and in a better place than before.  This won’t be easy, it may be the hardest thing you will ever go through, but take it step by step and trust that you are being taken care of.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

You have loved ones who want to be there for you.  Who would drop everything in a millisecond and be right by your side. You don’t have to be the tough one, you don’t have to hold your head high all the time.  Let it drop on the shoulder of the ones you love and allow them to comfort you.  Release your worries, sadness, anger.  It’s okay to feel and to have it be seen.

Let it all out..& then take in hope.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
